Morning Walks + Poetry Podding
I'm on the Banderpod this week! 🎙️
I’ve thought on a near daily basis that I should write something here, but all the ideas haven't quite made it from my brain to the keyboard yet. January was for hibernating and knitting. February was for re-entering the world. A couple days ago, I cracked a window and turned down the heat. Today it’s windy and cold again. So it goes on the edge of spring.
I just got home from a brisk and desperately needed walk in the woods (for me and my dog), where the edges of the trails had a thin, crunchy coating of frost, leftovers from yesterday’s rain. (Note to self: morning walks before work are a great idea and I should do it more often.)
So that’s the weather report! Popping in before I head to work to share something fun… I’m on this week’s episode of the new Bandersnatch Books podcast! I had a delightful chat with my friend Rachel Donahue about poetry and spiritual direction, two of my favorite subjects. I accidentally coined the term “places of micro-hospitality” and read a couple excerpts from Beneath the Flood. Also, I realized I am slightly out of practice with recording myself without a script, and sometimes I talk super fast until it’s time to read a poem. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You can listen below, subscribe to Bandersnatch’s Substack for updates, or find the Banderpod wherever you get your podcasts!

Thanks for stopping by to chat, Jen!
The edge of spring is such a tease.
