Could it be? 😨 Finding Home Vol. 2.0
Well, hello there. Bet you thought you'd never see one of these again...
When I first started an email newsletter -- or rather, a monthlyish letter called Finding Home -- I imagined it would be like the cozy living room version of an email. I'd tell you a story about what's going on in my world, offer you a few things I thought were interesting, and share some stuff I've written elsewhere. And then you'd probably write me back and we'd start a conversation and become Internet BFFs! It'd be like this super awesome coffee hangout once a month.Â
I sent the last one in October 2016. Living rooms get stuffy and dusty after that much time.
So consider this mini-update my attempt to slip through the creaky door and open up the windows to let some air in here. If you're receiving this, you signed up for monthlyish updates from me at some point in the past. I'm so glad you're here.
Of course, things change in a year and a half! We all get like a bajillion emails, and I know I've had plenty that make me go "wait... when did I sign up for that?"Â
If this is one of those emails for you, then... hi.
I'm a writer / poet / sporadic blogger. Four years ago, I moved from Florida to New England and got super interested in the idea of finding home in a new place. I like to write about faith and art and the intersections between the two. I'm a regular at The Rabbit Room (lots of you probably know me from there) and make appearances at CCM Magazine.
A lot of life has happened in a year and a half, so this "Finding Home" idea is taking me to some new and interesting places. I've had a lot of conversations with people I love about certainty, about faith, about feeling everything come apart and get put back together again. I suppose, whether we're nomads, newly transplanted, or deeply rooted in our physical place, all of us are looking for some kind of home.
So, as I sweep the dust out of this little room in your inbox, I'd like this to be a space where we can talk about our searchings together.
Come along?
If you'd rather not receive these emails anymore, feel free to unsubscribe. No hurt feelings, I promise. :)Â If you stick around, then welcome! I hope this becomes something you look forward to reading every month(ish).

There is no way I can link to all the things that have happened in the past year and a half, but I would like you to know that I'm co-hosting a free online book club at The Rabbit Room! We're reading Culture Making by Andy Crouch, and the conversation starts up August 6th. Find out more right here!
Also, I've done a fair amount of writing at CCM lately, but one of my favorite pieces is this interview with Audrey Assad. If you missed it, please give it a read! Not only is she awesome, but our conversation will give you a pretty good idea of what's interesting me lately...
That's it for this reintroduction! In August, I'll attempt to explain last year's Internet absence and share some thoughts on the things I hope to write about in this space. See you then!
