Behold, a Book Cover Reveal! ✨🌊
A short Beneath the Flood update + I have no chill about this cover art.
So about that cover I said I couldn’t wait to show you…
On Monday, I woke up to an email from the Bandersnatch team with two bits of news!
1) It’s off to the printer!
2) The official cover reveal was scheduled for later in the day.
Excitement! I went to work and promptly forgot about it! And then I was scrolling Instagram later and saw this.
Finally! Isn’t she pretty???
In Which I Fangirl for a Moment
I’m so grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with multimedia visual artist / lovely human Kyra Hinton. I’ve been a big fan of her art for years now, and I love how she captures the magic in the world, whether in a digital painting or a bottled moment. In first design meeting, she asked for a word or feeling that I wanted to capture in the cover, and all that came to mind was, “Mystery.” Something that would beckon a reader to look closer and find constellations in the waves.
After sketches and revisions and many emails, a swirl of luminescent sea and stars1 emerged, and I thought yes… there it is. I truly cannot wait to see this printed form.
Pre-Orders?
Not quite yet. But you can sign up for an email notification when pre-orders go live! As every author will tell you, pre-orders are help out so much. And ordering directly from Bandersnatch Books is a great way to support a small publishing company that’s working hard to bring more goodness into the world.
For funzies/those who dig this sort of thing, here’s the Pinterest board I made to figure out cover ideas. Pretty sure I the last time I used Pinterest was for wedding planning… almost 10 years ago.
I’m so glad this worked out, Jen! It’s beautiful! I’m looking forward to having the print copy!
It’s absolutely beautiful!
