A Brief Announcement for Kindle Readers 📚
Well hello and belated happy new year Tiny Letter friends! I am... kind of embarrassed by the lack of a January letter. I didn't forget. But the winter funk is a real thing, y'all, and I feel like I'm hibernating a little bit.
Anyway... a real and proper letter will come by the end of this month. I MEAN IT. For now, though, I wanted to let you know that my first poetry collection Ruins & Kingdoms is now available on Kindle! Huzzah!
I’m kind of amazed that this little book I self-published is almost four years old now. If you didn’t know about it, well, this is a batch of poems written between 2008 and 2013, a distinct little chapter of life from graduating college and learning to be an adult to falling in love, getting married, and leaving my little Florida hometown for a city in New England.
I gotta be honest… upon rereading and reformatting this collection for the new Kindle edition, I was slightly tempted to scrap or revise some of the poems. But, nah. These poems stand as they were, marking a specific place in time. And I’m giving them a second life, with hope for a new collection sooner than later. (Maybe before the year is out? Maybe?)
Anyway, this is where I have a big favor to ask… if you’ve already purchased and read the paperback version, would you consider leaving an honest review on Amazon and/or Goodreads? Reviews are the best way to help an author’s work get noticed, and boy do indie poets need help with that amirite?
If you don’t have the book already OR would enjoy having it in your Kindle library OR want to gift the book to a friend, well…. it’s super cheap right now! $2.99 for this batch of poems. *insert joke about how the latte I’m drinking right now cost more*
I’m also excited to let you know that Chris’ latest book A Child’s Year is new on Kindle too! (also $2.99) Some of his older books should start popping up in Kindle form soon as well. If you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend. If you can only buy one, buy his instead, haha. Thus ends a little shameless book promoting.
Thanks for reading and caring and supporting our little indie poet family. <3 A proper issue of Finding Home will be landing in your inbox by the end of the month.
